Friday 12th
Friday 12th In our double lesson we have been looking at different title sequence from the movie ' James Bond' from when it first started with Sean Connery and then in the mid 1990's, 1995 til 2002 with pierce brosnan and when Daniel Craig took over in 2006 til 2008 which is the modern version. We have talked about the uses of props as well as the editing techniques. we also have been looking at the props that have been used in most of the title sequences for 'James Bond' which are guns to show power of the person who is  holding it, suits for the style/ fashion and how well looking/ wealthy a character looked and most of the time is would be 'James bond', expensive things such as diamonds, very good and attractive cars, boats and houses for certain scenes and most of all women are used within the title sequences as women have that sex drive which makes the title sequence interesting and makes a certain targeted audience want to carry on watching. All of these props have been used to show power and class. The women have been used to attract men to the movie, they have been put across as sexy, by being skinny, hardly any clothes on or naked and by the way they move and by their dancing. We are not able to see their body features or their faces as the uses of editing have cleverly made the women as silhouettes to hide their identity. The uses of silhouettes also go out towards men as sometimes the figures of men pop up and bond will 'shoot at them in the title sequence. The editing is a good way to use colors which are mostly dark colors like black and red, black is to represent mystery and danger which reflects to the guns and other weapons shown in the film. The red may represent love and sexiness due to the fact of women being included in the title sequences or blood could be used as there is a lot of action within the film, and in the title sequence blood maybe shown as we see guns and men shooting.
